Brown photos and miscellanea, 1847-1865.

The major item in the collection is a photograph album presented to Mrs. A.G. Brown by her students in 1863, which itself contains a group of Mathew Brady cartes de visites. The album contains identified photos of Georgetown children as well as many unidentified photos. In keeping with the custom of the time, various cartes of famous government officials, presidents, cabinet officers and Civil War military officers are interspersed in the album. The folder contains two Georgetown Seminary report books for the years 1847-1848 on Anna Louise Brown.
